Anne Hodgson - Woodwind & Brass

Anne is a former Junior Exhibitioner at the RCM, studied under Ann Cherry at TCM and Averill Williams at GSMD. After years as a freelance performer and teacher in London, she now teaches at several colleges in Sussex. She is a resident soloist with Musicians of All Saints and a founder member of Sussex Flutes. Passionate about music education, Anne has served as an adjudicator for BIFF since 2009 and was a long-time Trustee of the British Flute Society. She also enjoys salsa dancing and has cycled through Rajasthan, Vietnam, and Cambodia for charity fundraising efforts.

Julia Dewhurst - Voice

Julia is a lyric-coloratura soprano with over 30 years of national and international performance experience in various genres, from Early Music to contemporary works. Her teaching spans all age ranges, notably as a visiting singing specialist in a London primary school. Julia is passionate about diverse vocal styles, including Rock, Pop, Jazz, and Music Theatre, focusing on platform presentation and voice production techniques. A respected vocal adjudicator for over 20 years, she is a Fellow of ISM and actively involved in several professional organisations, enhancing the vocal education landscape through her expertise and dedication.

Roy Robinson - Strings & Piano

Roy is a distinguished musician, trained at RCM, where he excelled in viola and piano. He holds multiple diplomas and an MA in music, complemented by experience as an organist and choral conductor. His career blends teaching, performing, adjudicating and examining. Roy has examined grade, diploma and jazz exams all over the world, as well as contributing to ABRSM as a consultant. He has delivered numerous instrumental and singing courses for children. Outside music, he enjoys driving classic cars, showcasing a well-rounded and accomplished life in the arts.
